Phoenix just (March, 30, 2015) aired 'Schätze der Welt / Der Jakobsweg'. This documentary from Raimund Ulbrich dates from 2004.
The movie has a cultural-historic emphasis.

Auf nach Santiago
A second documentary proposed here is 'Auf nach Santiago', 2013. A 29:05 movie on four German boys walking part of the camino. Two are Christian, two are Muslim. Their religion teacher sets them with questions.

El Camino - Der Jakobsweg
Also in German is the documentary 'El Camino - Der Jakobsweg'. This one from Ferenc Tolvaly dates from 2005. We follow the author on his way from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela. The author wants to find out what's behind his mask.This film has a constant voice-over, al the 1:17 of it.
